The process begins when LDSI collects and securely transports your data to a local facility for analysis. Our staff follows strict documented procedures to ensure a completely defensible chain of custody. Upon arrival at our site, we use advanced media imaging and file retrieval tools to take a forensic image of all digital media, including back-up tapes, CPUs, stand-alone drives, on/offline servers collected. This imaged data may then be safely processed and/or archived for later production. Multiple layers of security ensure safety and preservation. LDSI preserve all original media/material, in the exact state it was in when collected.
